Maine Charter School Day

AUGUSTA – Representatives from Maine’s nine charter schools gathered at the Hall of Flags on Monday, January 23, 2017 for Charter School Day at the Maine State House. Maine Senate President Michael Thibodeau (R-Waldo) met with students as well as educators and Roger Brainerd, Executive Director of the Maine Association for Charter Schools and Judith Jones, who is the Chair of the organization’s board of directors.

Maine charter schools, which are public schools, enroll 1,980 children from more than 186 towns around Maine.
