AUGUSTA – Students from St. Dom’s Academy in Auburn visited the Maine State House on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. The students from Elaine Trytek’s fourth grade class learned about the path of legislation a bill must take to become a law and some of Maine’s historic figures.

They also met with State Senator Eric Brakey (R-Androscoggin) who represents the City of Auburn.

“I always appreciate the opportunity to greet students when they visit the State House,” said Senator Brakey. “It’s important for young people to see first-hand how government functions, and I was very impressed with the level of curiosity these students brought with them during their visit. I am very encouraged knowing that these young minds are our future.”
