AUGUSTA – With the Second Regular Session of the 128^th Legislature just around the corner, Senator Andre Cushing (R-Penobscot) would like to once again invite all area students to join him at the State House for a day to serve as a page in the Maine Senate.

As a page, students have the opportunity to participate in a legislative session, delivering messages and distributing documents within the Senate Chamber.

“As a legislator, I enjoy interacting with students from around the state who come to the Senate to participate in the honorary page program. It’s a great way for students to get some hands-on experience and learn more about our state government. I would encourage any interested students, parents or teachers to contact my office today.”

The program, which lasts for one day’s session, is open for students from third grade through high school. The Legislature schedules pages for each session day, which begins on Wednesday, January 3 and will conclude on April 18.
