FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sen Keim with Christopher Durant and Tony Carter

AUGUSTA – Christopher (River) Durant, a 6th grader at Meroby Elementary School in Mexico, visited the State House with his grandfather, Tony Carter, on Thursday, February 1. During their visit, Christopher served as an honorary page in the Maine Senate and they met with their state senator, Lisa Keim (R-Oxford).

“It was a pleasure to have Christopher and Tony join us in Augusta and to have Christopher participate in our session,” said Sen. Keim.

The honorary page program, which is open for students from third grade through high school, gives students an opportunity to participate in the legislative process for one day’s session in either the House or Senate. For more information, please contact Senator Keim’s office at 207-287-1505.
