FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUGUSTA – Senator Marianne Moore (R-Washington) has been appointed to serve on the Maine Children’s Growth Council (the Council). The Council is a bipartisan group established by statute that is made up of 37 members. These members, including legislators, community members and government officials, are tasked with developing, maintaining and evaluating a plan to make sure we are investing both financially and socially in the development of young children and families in Maine.
“Children are our most precious resource, as they are our future,” said Sen. Moore. “I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Council to advise on policies that will best support Maine children and encourage success during their early, most critical years.”
