AUGUSTA – Students from the JMG program at Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield served as honorary pages in the Maine House of Representatives and Maine Senate on Tuesday, March 12. During their visit, they met with their legislators, Senator Brad Farrin (R-Somerset) and Representative Scott Strom (R-Pittsfield), as well as Governor Janet Mills. The students were chaperoned by Wladimir Ortiz, Lonnie Thompson.

The honorary page program provides an opportunity for students from third grade through high school to participate in the legislative process for one day’s session in either the House or Senate. For more information about the program, please contact Senator Farrin’s office at 207-287-1505.
