Senator Stacey Guerin Reappointed to a Lead Role on the Labor and Housing Committee

(December 21, 2020) – State Senator Stacey Guerin has been reappointed to serve as the lead Senate Republican on the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Labor and Housing.

The committee faces major and immediate challenges. The state’s unemployment system has been a disaster for many months now and the future job outlook has been complicated by the pandemic. As the owner of a small business that supplies numerous other small businesses, Senator Guerin is well acquainted with the needs of Maine’s labor force.

Prior to her service in the Senate, Guerin served District 102 in the Maine House of Representatives and served as a member of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee and as the Republican Lead on the Judiciary Committee.

In November, Senator Guerin was reelected to serve the people of Senate District 10, which consists of the municipalities of Carmel, Corinna, Corinth, Dixmont, Etna, Exeter, Glenburn, Hampden, Hudson, Kenduskeag, Levant, Newburgh, Newport, Plymouth and Stetson.
