Rep. Norm Higgins, Coach Luis Ayala, Sen. Paul Davis

Dover-Foxcroft- State Senator Paul Davis (R-Piscataquis) and Representative Norm Higgins (I-Dover-Foxcroft) had the honor of congratulating Coach Luis Ayala at a school assembly at Foxcroft Academy on Monday, November 11 where Coach Ayala was awarded the U.S. Cellular Most Valuable Coach Award. As an award recipient, Coach Ayala received a check for $50,000 which went to the school’s athletic department. Coach Ayala, who was one of thousands of nominees, leads the Pony boys soccer and wrestling teams.

U.S. Cellular’s Most Valuable Coach program is designed to recognize high school coaches based on their leadership qualities and the positive impact they have on their teams and their communities. The Most Valuable Coach Award is selected by online public voting and a panel of judges.
