AUGUSTA – Senator Rod Whittemore (R-Somerset) has announced the local transportation projects included in the Maine Department of Transportation Work Plan for Calendar Years 2018, 2019 and 2020. The estimated value of work in the plan totals more than $2.3 billion and encompasses 2,262 projects across the state.
The Work Plan includes more than $1.4 billion in highway, bridge and multimodal capital work, more than $1.1 billion in highway and bridge projects and more than $296 million in multimodal capital projects.
Among the projects scheduled in Senate District 3 include highway paving along Route 201 in Madison and Skowhegan, bridge deck replacement on Route 146 in New Portland and highway paving on Route 201 in Dennison Plt, Jackman, Moose River and Sandy Bay Twp.
“It is encouraging to hear about this much-needed work infrastructure work around Somerset County,” Senator Whittemore said. “I look forward to seeing the progress on these projects.”
