AUGUSTA – Senator Kimberley Rosen (R-Hancock), Chair of the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, congratulated Lt. Col. John-Paul Cote of China following a unanimous vote by the committee to confirm him as the next Chief of the Maine State Police.
“It was my honor to preside over the confirmation hearing of Lt. Col. John-Paul Cote,” said Sen. Rosen. “Lt. Col. Cote has an outstanding record of public service in his law enforcement career, and I am pleased to report that his nomination to serve as Chief of the Maine State Police was unanimous! I am thankful for his service to the State of Maine and look forward to working with him over the next 4 years in his new role.”
Lt. Col. Cote will be finally confirmed following a vote in the Maine Senate.
