Augusta – Senator Matt Pouliot (R-Kennebec) has announced the local transportation projects included in the Maine Department of Transportation Work Plan for Calendar Years 2019, 2020 and 2021. The estimated value of work in the plan totals more than $2.44 billion and encompasses 2,193 projects across the state.
The Work Plan includes more than $1.4 billion in highway, bridge and multimodal capital work, nearly $1.2 billion in highway and bridge projects and nearly $297 million in multimodal capital projects.
Projects scheduled for Senate District 15 include the purchase of snow removal equipment for the Augusta State Airport; highway safety improvements on Rt. 3 in Augusta; highway rehabilitation on Rt. 202 in Augusta; highway paving on Rt. 137 in China; and improvements to the intersection of Oak St., Pleasant St. and Heath St. on Rt. 137 in Oakland.
