AUGUSTA – Senator Stacey Guerin (R-Penobscot), who also serves as Women In Government Board Chair, hosted an event for women of the State Legislature on Thursday, February 28. During the event, Lucy Gettman, Executive Director of Women In Government, held a briefing remotely from Washington, D.C. to explain the networking benefits for program participants.
“Women In Government helps connect female legislators from across the country through a host of conferences and networking opportunities,” said Sen. Guerin. “They have proven to be a tremendous resource for me during my legislative career, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to share their mission with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle here in Augusta.”
Women In Government Foundation, Inc., headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a national non-profit, non-partisan organization of women state legislators that provides leadership opportunities, expert forums, and educational resources to address and resolve complex public policy issues to all 1,808 women state legislators.
