Augusta – Senator James Hamper (R-Oxford) has announced the local transportation projects included in the Maine Department of Transportation Work Plan for Calendar Years 2019, 2020 and 2021. The estimated value of work in the plan totals more than $2.44 billion and encompasses 2,193 projects across the state.
The Work Plan includes more than $1.4 billion in highway, bridge and multimodal capital work, nearly $1.2 billion in highway and bridge projects and nearly $297 million in multimodal capital projects.
Projects scheduled for Senate District 19 include highway rehabilitation on Rt. 302 in Bridgton; safety and spot improvements on Long Hill Rd. in Sebago; highway reconstruction on Rt. 302 in Fryeburg; and new construction at Eastern Slope Regional Airport.
“Maintaining high quality roads and infrastructure is a critical component to attract new employers to the area,” said Sen. Hamper. “I am encouraged to see all of the work the Department of Transportation has in store for Oxford and Cumberland counties.”
