Senator Stacey Guerin is currently serving her third term in the Maine State Senate representing the people of District 4. Formerly District 10, the newly reapportioned district includes municipalities and unorganized territories in both Penobscot and Piscataquis counties.

Prior to her service in the Senate, Sen. Guerin served District 102 in the Maine House of Representatives for four terms where she was the ranking member of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and Judiciary committees. Since her election to the Senate, she previously served as the Senate Republican Lead for the Labor and Housing Committee.

Sen. Guerin brings a wealth of business experience to the Senate. As a business owner along with her husband, Joe, they run a food service supply and restaurant equipment company in Veazie. She also brings an educational perspective to the Legislature as a former 2nd grade teacher at Eddington Elementary School, having studied early childhood education at the University of Maine.

A Kenduskeag native, Sen. Guerin is an active volunteer for several organizations within her community and serves on the board of directors for Hospitality Maine, as a director for the national organization Women in Government, and is a Penobscot County Master Gardener and former 4-H leader. She is also active in her church.

Sen. Guerin and her husband live in Glenburn and have five sons and five grandchildren.
