Sen. Amy Volk, Cayte Tillotson, Sen. Catherine Breen, Isaac Saunders

AUGUSTA – On Thursday, March 16, two Yarmouth High School students visited the State House as part of the Career Exploration program. Cayte Tillotson, a sophomore, shadowed Senator Amy Volk (R-Cumberland) for the day. Isaac Saunders, a junior, shadowed Senator Catherine Breen (D-Cumberland).

“I had a great time showing Cayte around Augusta for the day,” said Sen. Volk. “It’s always encouraging to have students show an interest in state government.”

“Hosting local students is one of the high points of any day in the Maine Senate,” said Sen. Breen. “It was a pleasure to meet Isaac, and I’m confident that his curiosity and ambition will serve him well in the future, academically and beyond.”
