AUGUSTA – On Thursday, April 20, Olivia McCarthy, a senior at MDI High School, spent the day at the State House shadowing her state senator, Brian Langley (R-Hancock) as part of a school project. After graduation, Olivia hopes to pursue a degree in political science.

“It was a great pleasure to have Olivia spend the day learning how our state government works. I applaud MDI High School for having seniors complete an exhibition as a graduation requirement. Nothing beats real work experience,” said Sen. Langley.
