AUGUSTA – On Friday, April 28, Senator Scott Cyrway (R-Kennebec) greeted the International Wildlife Conservation and Combating Trafficking Project as Chair of the Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
The group was made up of participants from 12 countries including the African Union, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Namibia, Nigeria, People’s Republic of China, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Sudan, Thailand and Zambia. During their time in the U.S., they will visit various locations around the United States to gain an understanding of U.S. society and provide an overview of trends in U.S. wildlife conservation and anti-trafficking efforts.
