AUGUSTA – On Thursday, January 18, Reverend Mark Tanner of Skowhegan served as the Pastor of the Day, delivering the opening prayer in the Maine Senate. During his visit to the State House, he met with Senator Rod Whittemore (R-Somerset) and Representative Brad Farrin (R-Norridgewock).

Reverend Tanner serves the congregation at the Skowhegan Federated Church.

“It was a pleasure to have Reverend Tanner join us in Augusta to begin our day’s work with a special prayer,” said Sen. Whittemore.

“Thanks to Reverend Tanner for taking the time to share a prayer with my Senate colleagues,” said Rep. Farrin. “It’s always a pleasure to see a familiar face in the halls of the State House.”
