(Augusta, ME) – Abby Pelletier of Hartland, Maine is this year’s Somerset County recipient of the $1,000 Legislature’s Memorial Scholarship. Abby is a nursing major at Kennebec Valley Community College.

The Maine Legislature annually recognizes one student from each county who is currently pursuing or planning to pursue education at a two- or four-year degree-granting college or technical school in Maine. Awards are given to Maine resident high school seniors or full- or part-time postsecondary students accepted to or enrolled in accredited Maine colleges for graduate or undergraduate degrees.

This year’s awards were presented in the Maine State Senate chamber on Thursday, March 5, 2020.
