(December 21, 2020) – The condition of our roads and bridges and the manner in which we finance them long-term has reached crisis levels, complicated further by the large budget shortfall caused by the pandemic.
For this reason, it is very important that Sen. Brad Farrin has been reappointed to serve as the lead Republican senator on the Legislature’s Transportation Committee.
Senator Farrin has represented Republicans on the Transportation Committee and on other specially appointed commissions for the past six years and will continue to be involved in the process to resolve these issues.
Prior to serving in the Maine Senate, Farrin served two terms in the House of Representatives where he was on the Transportation Committee and the Ranking Member on the Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee.
With more than 30 years of experience in construction and project management, Farrin is the Corporate Facilities Manager for Milton CAT, New England’s premier construction equipment supplier. In this role he is responsible for property management, regulatory compliance, facility maintenance and the start-up of all major capital projects for 15 facilities in six states.
In November, Senator Farrin was reelected to serve his second term in the Maine State Senate. He represents Senate District 3, which is made up of Anson, Bingham, Canaan, Caratunk, Central Somerset Unorganized Territory, Cornville, Dennistown Plantation, Embden, Highland Plantation, Jackman, Madison, Mercer, Moose River, Moscow, New Portland, Norridgewock, Northeast Somerset Unorganized Territory (includes Rockwood Strip Twp.), Northwest Somerset Unorganized Territory, Pittsfield, Pleasant Ridge Plantation, Rome, Seboomook Lake Unorganized Territory, Skowhegan, Smithfield, Solon, Starks, The Forks Plantation and West Forks Plantation.
