Several issues that could have sweeping effects upon Maine’s citizens are either being considered or have recently been decided by unelected bureaucrats in Maine’s Executive Branch. The most recent issue involves the decision by the Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows to disqualify Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump from the Republican primary ballot.

“She attempted to remove President Donald Trump from the ballot for the upcoming presidential election in a unilateral move that in my opinion was extra-constitutional and I think even her decision speaks for itself in that regard,” said Senate Republican Leader Trey Stewart, R-Aroostook. “She is in fact the best thing that Donald Trump has going for him right now by helping to stir up our base and motivate our folks.”

  1. She should not assume to speak for the state of Maine, I think that that she has way overstepped her responsibilities, and I don’t think that she has the right to do that.
