Senator Davis is serving his second term in the Maine State Senate. He represents Senate District 4 which consists of all towns in Piscataquis County as well as Alton, Bradford, Charleston, Dexter, Garland, Lagrange, Athens, Brighton Plantation, Cambridge, Detroit, Harmony, Hartland, Palmyra, Ripley and St. Albans.
Prior to being elected to the Senate for the 127th Maine State Legislature, Senator Davis served four terms in the Maine State Senate, serving in leadership during three of those terms, and three terms in the Maine House of Representatives.
He currently serves as Chair of the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee and as a member of the State and Local Government Committee. Previously, he served as Chair of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee and as a member of the Taxation Committee and Government Oversight Committee.
Senator Davis spent 23 years as a Maine State Trooper, serving primarily in Piscataquis County. He also served six years in the Army National Guard. A member of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine Board of Directors, he is an avid hunter, fisherman and snowmobiler.
Senator Davis and his wife, Patricia, have two grown children and four grandchildren.
