Senator Kim Rosen Announces Local Projects in Maine DOT Work Plan

AUGUSTA – Maine State Senator Kim Rosen (R-Hancock) has announced local transportation projects included in the Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) Work Plan for Calendar Years 2018, 2019 and 2020. The estimated value of work in the plan totals more than $2.3 billion and encompasses 2,262  projects across the state.

It includes more than $1.4 billion in highway, bridge and multimodal capital work, more than $1.1 billion in highway and bridge projects, and more than $296 million in multimodal capital projects.

Among the major projects in Senate District 8 include highway paving in Bucksport and Castine, rehabilitation of the Veterans Remembrance Bridge in Brewer, drainage maintenance in Burlington, and highway safety improvements in Holden.

“As a long time Senate member on the Legislature’s Transportation Committee, I am happy to announce DOT infrastructure projects throughout the Senate District,” said Sen. Rosen. “A sound infrastructure is so important to our safety and economic development, and I look forward to monitoring the progress of these projects over the next few years.”
