Augusta – Senator James Hamper (R-Oxford) has announced the local transportation projects included in the Maine Department of Transportation Work Plan for Calendar Years 2018, 2019 and 2020. The estimated value of work in the plan totals more than $2.3 billion and encompasses 2,262 projects across the state.
The Work Plan includes more than $1.4 billion in highway, bridge and multimodal capital work, more than $1.1 billion in highway and bridge projects and more than $296 million in multimodal capital projects.
Among the projects scheduled in Senate District 19 include highway reconstruction, bridge replacement and improvements along Route 302 in Fryeburg, highway paving along Route 26 in Norway and Paris and highway paving and improvements along Route 26 in Oxford.
“Maintaining high quality roads and infrastructure is a critical component to attract new employers to the area,” said Sen. Hamper. “I am encouraged to see all of the work the Department of Transportation has in store for Oxford and Cumberland counties.”
