Senator Roger Katz Announces Local Projects Included in Maine DOT Work Plan

Augusta – Senator Roger Katz (R-Kennebec) has announced the local transportation projects included in the Maine Department of Transportation Work Plan for Calendar Years 2018, 2019 and 2020. The estimated value of work in the plan totals more than $2.3 billion and encompasses 2,262 projects across the state.

The Work Plan includes more than $1.4 billion in highway, bridge and multimodal capital work, more than $1.1 billion in highway and bridge projects and more than $296 million in multimodal capital projects.

Among the projects scheduled in Senate District 15 include highway paving along Route 3 and intersection improvements to the intersection of Route 3 and Route 201 in Augusta, paving and resurfacing along Route 32 in Vassalboro and highway paving along Route 104 in Sidney.

Sen. Katz said, “Transportation investments provide a boost to the economy and ensure mobility and reliability within the area. I am encouraged to see what they have in store over the next three years for Kennebec County.”
