Sen. Dana Dow, Anthony Lufkin, Daniel Hupp, Joseph Hennessey, Sen. Paul Davis

AUGUSTA – Senator Dana Dow (R-Lincoln) recognized Anthony Lufkin, Knox County Teacher of the Year, and Daniel Hupp, Lincoln County Teacher of the Year, with legislative sentiments at an awards ceremony in Augusta on May 10.

Mr. Lufkin teaches art classes at Friendship Village School, Prescott Memorial School and Union Elementary and has been a teacher for 10 years. Mr. Hupp teaches math and science classes at Great Salt Bay Community School and has been a teacher for 16 years. Both of these outstanding teachers will continue to compete in the Maine Teacher of the Year program. The 2018 Maine Teacher of the Year will be announced in October.
