Senator Matt Pouliot Reappointed to a Lead Role on the Taxation Committee

(December 21, 2020) – State Senator Matt Pouliot has been reappointed to serve a second consecutive term on the State Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Taxation. This will be in addition to his new duties as the new Assistant Republican Leader in the Senate.

In November, Sen. Pouliot was reelected to his second term in the State Senate. Prior to his service in the Senate, he served the residents of District 86 in the Maine State House of Representatives for three terms. While in the House, he served on the Taxation Committee, the Elections Committee, the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee, and the Redistricting Committee.

An Augusta native, Matt graduated from Cony High School in 2005 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Augusta in 2009 and is a graduate of Leadership Maine. He makes a living as a Realtor with RE/MAX Riverside and owns two real estate companies, Alliance Properties, LLC and Pouliot Real Estate, Inc.

Sen. Pouliot represents the people of Senate District 15, which consists of Augusta, China, Oakland, Sidney and Vassalboro.
