Senator David Woodsome is currently serving his second term in the Maine State Senate. He represents the people of Senate District 33 which consists of the towns of Cornish, Limerick, Newfield, Parsonsfield, Sanford, Shapleigh and Waterboro.
A graduate of Sanford High School and the University of Maine, Senator Woodsome was a teacher and coach before retiring after 35 years. He has also served three terms as a Waterboro selectman and currently chairs the Waterboro Selectboard.
In the Maine Legislature, he serves as the Chair of the Energy, Utilities, and Technology Committee and as a member of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee.
Senator Woodsome lives in North Waterboro. He has two adult daughters, Meaghan and Kate.
