Senator David Woodsome is currently serving his fourth term in the Maine State Senate. He represents the people of Senate District 33 which consists of the towns of Cornish, Limerick, Newfield, Parsonsfield, Sanford, Shapleigh and Waterboro.
Senator Woodsome serves as a member of the Legislature’s Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs. Previously, he served as a member of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee and the Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee.
A graduate of Sanford High School and the University of Maine, Senator Woodsome was a teacher and coach before retiring after 35 years. He has also served three terms as a Waterboro selectman and currently chairs the Waterboro Selectboard.
Senator Woodsome lives in North Waterboro. He has two adult daughters, Meaghan and Kate.
